This colourful Turkish salad ‘Börülce Salatası’ is perfect as a side dish, and will appeal to garlic lovers everywhere. Preparation time: 15 minutes.
Ingredients (serves 4 people)
- 1 red onion finely chopped
- 2 or 3 garlic cloves (crushed with garlic crusher)
- 1 large bunch of dill finely chopped
- Half the amount of parsley finely chopped
- 3 cans of black-eyed peas (rinse under cold water before using)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- A drizzle of olive oil
- Lots of red wine vinegar
- Mix all the ingredients above and leave to cool in the fridge. Before serving, mix the salad and add more vinegar if needed.
